Apawthecary Medication & Prescription Policy
Dr. Taylor Campione, DVM – California Veterinary License #23215
How Medications Are Provided
Medications are dispensed during home visits under a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). All medications are labeled with your pet’s name, directions, and dosage so you always know how to give them correctly. If a medication needs refrigeration (such as vaccines or special meds), it is kept in a temperature-controlled container until delivered to you.
Refills & Ongoing Prescriptions
If your pet needs a refill, you may request it by calling or texting us at (913) 991-7693 or emailing us at info@apawthecary.org. Depending on the medication and your pet’s condition, we may dispense directly during your next appointment, send a prescription to a partner pharmacy (such as MixLab or another licensed veterinary pharmacy), or schedule a recheck exam if required by law for safety.
Medical Records
A full medical record is created and maintained for every patient, including details of medications prescribed. Clients may request a copy of their pet’s medical record at any time by contacting us at info@apawthecary.org. Records are kept securely and confidentially in compliance with California law.
